The Easley
The Easley is quiet, clean, and well-managed. It’s in a good location, walkable to restaurants/breweries/coffee shops, and close to every major grocery store. The amenities are great, the staff is kind and responsive, maintenance requests are handled quickly, and the building feels really safe. I would absolutely recommend the Easley to a law student looking to have a little bit of distance from the law school.

The Easley - Positive Review
Overall, The Easley has been a great place to live, featuring great amenities like two gyms, pool, lounge room, etc. Very modern style, open concept, feels luxurious. Great location, right across from the Winston Salem Baseball Stadium, close walk to bars, restaurants, etc. 12 minute drive to WFU. However, they did market it as seeming like it would cost 300 dollars less than it really does, and utilities are not included so it got pricy. Also, the mail room is kind of chaotic, all our mail is always there but you have to sift through other people's mail too which is kind of weird. Also - it is pet friendly and there is a parking garage with enough parking for residents, but they have a strict guest parking policy where you must get parking passes from the office before having guests park so if the office is closed, you may be out of luck in terms of guest parking.

NICE!
I love the Easley. I've lived in several apartments in Winston-Salem and nothing compares! It's quiet, it's new, nothing's constantly breaking, really good build quality, amenities are great, and it's safe. It's quite expensive but you do get what you pay for.

Quiet Complex, Very Safe
The Easley is a quiet complex comprised mainly of working professionals. While it is more expensive than other complexes, I feel very safe here. There is a parking garage that you need a scanner to gain access to, and every outside door requires your device to unlock it. The amenities are also amazing and there are monthly activities. The location is very unique as well, with a view of the Truist Baseball Stadium.

Nice complex, but a major hassle, and the wrong side of town.
The complex is well-appointed, but that comes at the cost of being constantly followed and monitored while you are enjoying the common areas. Does NOT feel like you're at home. People have been reprimanded for walking from their apartment to the pool while wearing a bathing suit and cover-up instead of being fully clothed and disrobing at the pool. IF you want to watch tv in the common area, you have to ask the office to change the channel for you. They will not let you keep the remote.
Music on. Full blast. Every day. Therefore, the common areas can't be used for work or study at any hour.
Nitro Brew coffee! Don't get excited, because it never works.
Super thin walls. You can hear every conversation as you walk past the apartments. Like to know what your neighbor is watching? You'll hear it from inside your apartment. If you are single, get some good headphones for valentine's day. Unless you're into that sort of thing.
Parking: $75/month to find any spot left available.
Guaranteed parking on your floor: $150 / month
Parking gate is usually broken. A vehicle was stolen from the garage last year and there are often vehicle break-ins.
Guest parking - very limited and FCFS. Fills up almost immediately. Must request guest parking pass while the office is open. Consequently, anyone wanting to visit you on a weekend or weeknight can't get a spot and will be towed.
Mandatory Valet Trash removal -
$30 per month.
- You must have your trash outside your door by 7PM Mon - Thurs. 6 PM on Sundays.
- No trash pick up at all on Fridays or Saturdays.
- If you don't bring your trashcan back inside before 9AM, then you are charged $45 each time. Don't sleep in!
- If you work an alternate schedule and can't get your trash out by 6 or 7 to utilize the valet pick-up, you still have to pay the $30 per month. They have an agreement with the valet trash people that all apartments will be in the program.
Rent payment -
$52 fee per month to pay online with a debit card. You can pay a $4 fee per month if you bring cash to their credit union.
Packages
You must pay a monthly service fee to the locker company if you want your packages secured. Otherwise, they are left in a huge pile on the floor.
Nothing good nearby. Feels dangerous to be outside.
You can see the baseball stadium but the patio runs out of seating very quickly on game nights.

Watch out for the fees
The property is new, beautiful, and lacks nothing. They won't tell you about these fees though -
To pay your rent online they charge you a $55 convenience fee every month. The other option is to pay in cash at a nearby credit union and pay a $5 fee.
They require that you pay $30 per month for trash removal from your front door. Sounds convenient until you see there is only a 2-hour window (and only 4 days per week) during which you are permitted to put your trash out. If you aren't home at that time "too bad", but you will still have to pay for it. You cannot opt-out. If your trashcan is put out too early or left out too late, then you are charged a $50 fee per occurrence.
A parking space is $75/mo for unreserved. $150/mo for reserved.
To have your mail put in the lockboxes you have to pay a monthly fee to a third-party company that runs the lockers. Otherwise, they will leave your boxes piled up on the floor.
