MPP
MPP is a good building - not luxurious, but good enough and relatively inexpensive if you share a 3-bedroom apartment. The location is excellent - right downtown, so walking distance to a lot of corporate events and Chicago sights, and also right above Millennium Station for a quick commute to campus. Having lived in a regular apartment in London before, I find the loading dock very useful as it removes the hassle of receiving packages and is open quite late almost every day. There is also a decent gym for a casual user like me. Within the unit itself, I like the spacious kitchen and living room. I have the smallest room in my 3-bed apartment and, again coming from London, even this is enough for my needs - I have room to study, a reasonably-sized closet and a very partial but also very nice view of Lake Michigan. When I think back to my decision, it boiled down to: decent building, good price, lots of Booth people (i.e., house parties with no commute). Overall, pretty happy.

You Get What You Pay For
It is by far the cheapest option in the area. Overall, it is a very good bargain for Chicago, especially in the Loop. However, the elevators are rickety, and I've been trapped several times. Management has no desire to replace them, and probably because of the high cost. Also, it is very noisy, but I think that is the area, not apartment-specific. I lived in Chicago 4 years prior to this and was surprised by the noise level at MPP.

Most inexpensive place in the Loop
MPP is the ultimate place for a Booth student to live on a budget. It's near all the action and the place is actually nicer than its reputation suggests.

Living in MPP
It's a great apartment for the price you pay. There are building maintenance issues apparently, but I am yet to face one.

MPP is good enough but you can find better
It's an old building with old fixtures. Can find a better facility but the downside is that for most social events you will be coming to MPP. So choose based on what matters more to you.

MPP is great
I'm living in a 1BR with my girlfriend, and it is by far the best option in the loop. Considered MILA, but the apartments there are much smaller, have very little closet space, and are significantly more expensive. Not worth the upgrade, and would still choose MPP even if they were the same price. It's not nearly as loud as people say it is. My gf works from home full time, and its just fine.

Convenient, affordable
The location is extremely convenient. You can access transit to get just about anywhere in the city. Its hard to beat the price as well given the location. The building is a bit old, and the management can be lacking, but overall the rooms are big, and maintenance promptly responds to requests.

The Loop Reviews
Very close to the lake and navy pier
Great park surrounded by all the buildings.
There’s good supermarket that has everything. A couple restaurants and coffee shops are also there.
