700 Apartments

The apartment itself is relatively nice, clean, and in a great location. The only downside to the apartment is the management. Their responses vary from very slow to completely absent, they have not managed many of my concerns dating back to my move in, and they are quick to threaten legal action in situations where not only is it not justified but it is simply not compliant with the current law. 9/10 apartment with 1/10 management.

Nice Unit

I live in a 1bd/1ba at The 700 Apartments. It is a great size if you plan to live alone. I have a large walk in closet and bathroom. I also have an open concept living room (this is also where I have my office!), dining room, and kitchen. Like I said, the perfect size for one person. I have a European style washer and dryer combo, and although uncommon, after five minutes you'll get the hang of it. There is also a traditional laundry room on the first floor. Water/sewer, pest control, and parking are included. I did see water bugs at one point (and anything that crawls creeps me out) and I put in a work order online and maintenance arrived that same day or the next day. This has always been the case with maintenance requests so I appreciate that. Parking is gated and off the street, but there is also on street parking if you prefer that. Electricity and cable/internet are separate. Spectrum is responsible for the cable/internet and I've never had a problem with them. My power bill has been between $70-$110 a month, but almost always on the lower end. The apartment also has thin walls because sometimes I hear my neighbors' shower playlist or their smoke drifts into my apartment. The playlist part is OK with me, but the smoke part sucks. Candles and Febreeze have become my friends but like I said, it sucks. This could be a positive or negative, but most units are atrium style (I think that's a name for a thing) because most apartments face the pool and therefore each other. With some finesse you can open your blinds and have natural light and privacy. Also if you like to work out, you might want to consider someplace else because there is no gym at this apartment complex. I do see people running/walking on the sidewalk in the neighborhood but if you want a gym you would have to go on campus or get a membership.
