Great Space for Graduate Students w/ a Car
While the area is a bit away from the university, it sits right by the B line and O lines (about a 6 minute walk to the stop) and these take you right next to about anywhere on campus. The rent is about the cheapest I have found in Madison without having a roommate. Some units have been updated while others have not, but regardless, the space is pretty nice for what you are paying for. The property managers have done a nice job fixing any issues I have within a couple days or less. Only gripe is that it is far from downtown, but in the amount you save in rent, you can easily rideshare home. Some people have mentioned it is in a rougher area in Madison, but I keep my head down and have rarely had anyone talk to me. Something to consider though.
