Just okay

Apartment is spacious and rent is fair, but management is overbearing and some of the furnishings in my apartment have been falling apart since I moved in.

Solid Student Housing Choice

I've had a great experience at Crowne Polo. The biggest perk is that it is so close to campus - I can walk out of my door 10 minutes before my classes start. Management is super helpful and always handles whatever issue I may have in a timely, professional, and kind manner. It is also gated, with gates closing in the evening and on weekends, and I've never felt unsafe here. It's super close to Reynolda, grocery stores, gas, fast food, etc. Management has also worked with me on rent payments really well - because I am a student, I rely on student loans to pay my rent, and at the beginning of the semester when the loans haven't dispersed yet, they're really understanding of any late rent payments. I think the only downfall of this apartment is the tough access- you have to go all the way down Silas Creek to the intersection at Reynolda and make a u-turn to come all the way back up to get into the complex. If they put in a u-turn closer to the entrance, it would make this place a 10/10.

Close to campus, gated

Able to walk to campus, feels safe, nice utilities (have a renovated unit), relatively affordable, would recommend! Great to be close - especially for 1L

Great place to live

Overall, Crowne polo is a very nice area. It’s quiet, but also very close to everywhere I need to go. I’m a 5 minute drive from campus, there are 4 grocery stores within a 3 minute drive from me, and I’m 10 minutes from downtown. I also feel like the community is quite similar to me (younger age, many grad students, law specifically). The inside of my apartment is great, especially for the price. It feels very “homey”. I will say, there have been a few issues with my apartment since move in (broken outlets, sloppy craftsmanship in some areas, etc.) but the front desk and maintenance are extremely helpful with solving these issues for me! Plus, there are frequently fun events going on in the clubhouse.

Great to live at!

Living at Crowne Polo has been a great experience. The office management is nice and accommodating. The maintenance workers also are friendly and fulfill requests in a timely manner. Crowne Polo is a great place for students to live in as it is 5 minutes away from campus, and also a great place for working adults as well. I highly recommend it.

Overall great

The only thing I'd change about Crowne Polo is the entrance. To enter, you have to be traveling north on Silas Creek Pkwy. Otherwise, you need to go 0.5 miles south on Silas Creek, take a U-turn, and then go 0.5 miles north to enter.

Perfect for law student with pets

It's quiet and calm, the neighbors and management are friendly. Management is extremely responsive. Every time we make a maintenance request they're extremely prompt. Parking is easy. It's clean. Definitely great value for the price. Appliances all fairly new and work well. Gym is small but has everything you need in a pinch. It's really nice to have a dog park so close by but it is a woodchip park (no grass) so it can get kind of gross, but it's fine. On the Wake line for those without cars. 5 mins or less from at least 3 grocery stores. Location not good for those who want to be super close to the downtown scene (we're about a 10-13m drive) -- but we're 5 mins from Reynolda and Bethabara so it's a good fit for those who like to be outdoors.
