Eagle Heights reviews and highlights
- wonderful family-oriented community
- by far the most affordable option in the downtown area
- safe place to live
Location
The area is nice, green and my apartment is affordable, however, bus route from my apartment to downtown Madison sometimes is not convenient and frequent like during weekends. I can just wait for and take the bus 80 arriving every hour.

7/10 stars
Its a great place for families but if you are looking to be close to school and downtown, I would look elsewhere.

Eagle Heights
1. Management team set up COVID quarantine in the community without any notification or public hearing. This makes me feel like the Eagle Height community are not care about their resident.
2. The sound of glass breaking shattered the quiet of the night, many car windows were broken by theft in Eagle Heights. Again, the management team is not updating any case progress or result. This makes me feel like the Eagle Height community are not care about their resident.

Eagle Heights
Eagle Heights are simple but well maintained apartments operates by he University. They’re a great place if you have a family and there are many families choosing to live there. There is a lot of open space here: basketball courts, picnic shelters, playgrounds and open green spaces, as well as a huge community garden. It’s well connected by bus and bike path. Here are some pros and cons.
Pros:
Cost
Maintenance is quick and effective
Parking included
Next to the lake
Bike path
Bike racks
Green spaces
Free laundry
Pretty quiet, family oriented place
Secured storage in basement
Cons:
Secluded- restaurants, bars, grocery stores are not easily accessed by foot
No dishwashers
For most apartments, laundry is outside unit (but in building and free)
Quiet family oriented place may not be great if young/single and looking for more of a social or night life.

Great for the price
Not a bad apartment for the price compared to some of the high rises downtown. Drawbacks are that it's a long ways away from the B-school and the buses only run once every hour on the weekends and non peak times. Overall I feel as if its a decent deal for a student on a budget but it makes getting to MBA events a pain.

Basic and convenient
The apartments at Eagle Heights are very basic (no frills), but they are very affordably priced and convenient to campus.
Pros:
- close to campus
- affordable
- family-friendly (if you have kids)
maintenance people are extremely quick to respond to issues
- I've had great neighbors here
- pets are not allowed (though I have seem some about, so I'm not exactly sure what the rules are.)
- 80 bus runs regularly and is free
Cons:
- no dishwasher
- shared basement laundry
- can be noisy at times (examples: if you live on the bottom level and someone lives above you; during the warmer months, if there are a lot of children in your unit and they are playing right outside; some pets are allowed, but not others, so there have been sounds of dogs barking; the occasional car alarm going off; etc.)
- rooms are small
- some units are still permitted to be "smoking" units
- I guess pets not being allowed could be a con for some people
- limited storage
