Great apt close to school and social activity
Great apartment, great management company. About 15 minute walk to Grainger, 10 minute walk to State St, and 10 minute walk up to the Capital Square.

Great location, quiet, and close to campus
I have lived at the Depot for two years. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences. Management has been great, my neighbors have been amazing, and I have had no issues in my two years. There is also a nice rooftop terrace, and small gym.

Great location, clean, and quiet
My experience over the last 5 months has been very positive. The apartments are very quiet, there is a nice patio, and the parking garage has sufficient parking. The only downside is parking when you have guests over. I think this issue is prevalent everywhere in Madison though.

Great building with a 10-15 minute walk to class and nightlife
I have only good things to say about my apartment and ULI. The apartment is fairly new, neighbors are mostly young adults (aka not loud), and water and internet is included. There is a gym in the building, but it is pretty small and only has the basics. Parking is readily available, but $135/month. Other big bonuses of the location include being walking distance from class, state street, and the Capitol, and Echo Tap bar is literally across the street

The Depot is good if you like quiet and mature neighbors but still want to be near things to do
Pros: The apartments are nice and the location is quieter than the State Street area. Most of the residents are working or in graduate school. The underground parking is very nice in winter. The building is generally clean. Maintenance issues get solved quickly.
Cons: The buzzer to get in the building is not the best since it requires a landline phone ; it does work but the screen for it had been broken for about a year. The property manager is not the best.

The Depot - bright and convenient
I love my apartment. The space is great for a studio. Having a washer/dryer in unit is super convenient. It's close to campus and the capital. Having access to the gym in the building has also been really helpful. Management has been responsive when necessary!

Great Apartment!
My experience at The Depot has been excellent. The bathroom and the bedrooms are a good size with walk-in closets. The wi-fi is included in your rent. You pay separately for utilities, but my bill is usually around only $40 because the apartment is well insulated. If there is a problem with the apartment, management and maintenance have been very quick to respond. If you have a car you have the option of paying for underground, heated parking. There are also plenty of bike racks in the garage to lock up your bike. The walk to campus is roughly 15 minutes and is a little more removed from the State Street bar scene, but Echo Tap is right across the street! I highly recommend living at The Depot.

Understaffed Management Company
Good Apartment complex with an understaffed management team.
Meaning, if you're looking for anything in addition to renting an apartment (amenities, community etc) look elsewhere.
Also, the main entrance door has not worked for the last 5 months.

The Depot is a nice place
The property manager is great and they fixed my heating element very quickly when it went out. The property is close to the east side of campus but not in high traffic area. There is a CVS on the bottom floor of the building which is convenient for buying small things throughout the week.
