Timertop

It it relatively quiet here. If you can get an apartment closer to the administration office then you'll be better off. There is more activity the further away you go.

Avoid Timbertop Apartments If Possible

The day I was doing a cursory tour before signing my lease, there was an unhoused person living in the apartment and I had to select a different one. I got a different apartment, but within two months of living there, my top kitchen cabinets fell off my wall. It took over a month for them to fix them. Maintenance also takes forever to respond, and they use a third party to triage the requests, so they requests are usually not complete.

They are supposed to ice the shared sidewalks and plow in the winter, and they do not. I lived at the bottom of the hill, and the hill is the only way in and out of the complex as the complex has yet to fix the secondary entrance after the floods. In mild winters, it is usually fine, but when it snows, you're stuck.

Finally, it is not the fault of the apartment complex, but the police are always on site due to various complaints/occurrences. During the summers, there are car break-ins almost every night and most people leave their cars unlocked to avoid their windows being smashed in. Packages also get stolen off porches.

As for positives, it is cheap rent, and management leaves you alone if you pay your bills on time. There is no pet deposit and the monthly fee for pets is lower than other apartments in the area. The location is nice as grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and the national park are all close by.
